The whole time he was doing this Daniel Canicais was swearing at my friend's wife and causing so much disturbance that the neighbours came to look...

Daniel Canicais removing the Synergy cover from the fusebox

Daniel Canicais himself not enjoying being photographed

Doing the walk of shame back to the fusebox to fix it. Not enjoying being photographed.

This is what the van looks like if you should happen to see it. I have shown both sides of it so you can indentify it easily

Running away down the street...

It was at his point that my friend's wife noticed that Daniel Canicais had very dangerously left the Synergy cover off inside the fusebox. This would have allowed even a child to put their hand in there and be electrocuted. Good professional tradesmanship !

She called Daniel Canicais and told him about it. He realised he had stuffed up because Synergy would find the cover left off, so he come back to fix his illegal mess

This is a very interesting story...

Daniel Canicais and his company DAC Electrical  wired up an air conditioner in a friend's home.

When they didn't pay him when he demanded (Instead of approaching them normally as any respectable business person would do) here is what he did .....

... it was Friday 7th March and my friend's wife was home alone. She suffers from several severe medical conditions including Rheumatoid Arthirits, Chronic Fatigue, Addison's Disease and Fibromyalgia.

These mean that she cannot regulate her body temperature properly and is confined to bed living in 18C.

Daniel Canicais knew this. It was why they installed the air conditioner in the first place.

At 5.20 pm (on a Friday !!)  the power to their home was suddenly cut off. My friend's wife called her husband and he told her to go to the fuse box to see if it had tripped for some reason. When she got to the front door she saw an electrical van parked in their driveway..

Understandably scared, she called her husband as Daniel Canicais headed towards the fusebox threatening her saying '..this is your first warning...'  her husband told her to photograph whatever he was doing.  Here is what she saw...

Daniel Canicais removing the black fuse in the meter box. This would have to be illegal.

According to Synergy's website this fuse is to provide over-current protection and is the responsibility of the network service provider (ie Synergy).

Here is a photo they took of Daniel Canicais and his workman trying to avoid the camera. Notice the  worker trying to cover his face.

Morals Of the Story

1). Do not use an electrician who may turn out to be a creepy lunatic

2). Be aware there are people like this out there

3). Do put a lock on your fuse box
